I am disappointed my constituency, and Hampshire as a whole, will move to Tier 2 following the lockdown but I do understand we are not isolated and that areas around us have higher infection rates.
It is clearly a big improvement on lockdown and it is important non-essential retail can now reopen next month to help get the economy moving.
No mixing indoors with others is going to be tough for many considering the time of year but we will just have to wrap up warm and head outside to meet up socially distanced in groups of six.
Despite the disappointment, it is vital we adhere to the restrictions while we await a vaccine. It will save lives this winter.
