I asked the Secretary of State for Education Gavin Williamson whether the Government has given any consideration to allowing Year 6 students to return to school this academic year so they can prepare for the transition to secondary school. I was pleased to hear it is being considered as the Government takes an increasingly flexible approach to getting more children into school and more children benefiting from education.
